Our Story
Hi! We’re Tim and Jess! We met back in 2013 when multiple groups teamed up to put on a retreat for a new multi-parish youth ministry program. Jess noticed Tim immediately, while Tim didn’t notice Jess for many months (proving the power of Tim‘s prayer for God to blind him to all women). But every man needs a friend who will bluntly and clearly tell him when a beautiful woman is interested in him. Fortunately, Tim has that friend. After a couple weeks of prayerful discernment, Tim asked Jess to go on a date with him by actually saying, “Would you like to go on a DATE with me?” So there was no confusion.

After about six months of dating, Tim asked Jess to marry him on May 3rd, 2015. Jess nodded and said those two words every man hopes to one day hear; “uh yeah!” Only six months later, we were married!
In 2016, our daughter was born. And we found ourselves understanding sacrificial love in a whole new way.
In early 2017, Tim left parish youth ministry. And a period of discernment began.
Tim had always been passionate about the virtue of Chastity and St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. And while still in youth ministry, Tim felt God begin to call him to help people understand love. In his years of youth ministry, he met a lot of people who carried around the heavy burden of sexual sin and broken relationships. Jess, a High-Risk OB nurse and Nurse Educator has long been passionate about women’s health. Through her work in medicine, she has also seen a lot of people wounded by unhealthy relationships and people not knowing their own value. After a great deal of prayer and discussion, we decided that Tim would be a stay-at-home-dad and we would answer God’s call to create a new ministry. After several months of work, we started Love Worth Chasing in mid-2017.
To add to the chaos, our son was born in the summer of 2018. We officially have one girl and one boy, aka “the starter pack”.
Our Catholic faith is the foundation upon which we are building and raising our family. And we want to emphasize OUR faith. Catholic faith is central to Tim’s life, central to Jess’s life, central to our marriage, and central to our family. Our goal is to make everything we do glorify Christ. And we fail at that regularly. But praise God for His mercy and the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Over the years we have had the opportunity to speak with some wonderful people! We’ve heard some beautiful stories of healing. Our goal is simple. We pray that through our work and witness, God can help just one person find healing and to have healthy relationships. Because every single person exists in the image and likeness of God, who is Love itself.
